@chosafine ah, this is a metaphor that resonates with me
I moved to Rizon (more like Rizoff amirite) when #4chan moved from pyokonet in 2003 or 4
I remember the changes
I'm still on 3? channels, but I'm not one of Those People anymore

@falkreon I think all of these things are really good ideas. The first two I hope we see very soon.
Unfortunately, I'm struggling to understand how we'd do the last 3 reliably in ActivityPub. I like the ideas but I don't really have a good understanding how how the protocol supports amending messages that have already federated, other than DELETE or REMOVE actions.
I might mention it the next time the AP working group convenes, though, so thanks for that
I really need to stash some hygiene products in my drawer at work
more Marxist-Leninist noise about how US military veterans shouldn't be allowed to join socialist orgs, because of the risk of "infiltration"
what a grave misunderstanding of how infiltration works, first of all
secondly, the experience young, impressionable people have after being recruited on pretense is often what changes their view of imperialism, government, and military action
you're operating at a deficit of understanding if you don't include ppl who've seen the inside

@dr1ft beautiful. I am proud

a little bit of me is immortal, in all of you

@quine I don't know whether to smile or roll my eyes
maybe both
ow
okay one at a time
And after all that we've been through
And after all we left in pieces
I still believe our lives have just begun
'Cause now the past can be outrun
And I know you are the reason
I still believe the best is yet to come
@dr1ft from screaming into it?!
Can you still remember
When little things made you happy?
And can you still remember
When simple things made you smile?
Life can be so simple,
If you can only see.
Whatever happened to those days?
Whatever happened to those nights? --
EXT. DOG PARK. TREV sits on a bench, picking a dandelion, then stands up, and walks toward the blowing wind. There is distant flute music, and TREV begins to sing.
TREV: An cuimhin leat an grá
Crá croí an ghrá
Níl anois ach ceol na h-oíche
Táim sioraí i ngrá
Leannáin le smál
Leannáin le smál
Lig leis agus beidh leat
Lig leis agus beidh grá --
The camera pans to JUNO, the dog, who eats from the trash can.
TREV: Oh, God damn it. Juno! Motherfucker. Juno, get back here! Swear to God --
