In case you're not familiar, #qaul.net is a free software project that aims to connect people via ad-hoc mesh networks. Born out of the riots in Egypt in 2011, and the #freifunk project, it made Android phones able to create decentralised, internet-independent networks on the go, with very little technical knowledge required to set it up!
The project is currently grant funded and what I get most of my money for to live. WE have an IRC channel on freenode if you wanna say hi, and the above ML.

J'ai lu des questionnements sur le fait de grève dans l'informatique, et les actes de contestation liés à cette grève.
Il semble que nous manquons de référence historique et de documentation encyclopédique.
Les perforatrices de cartes, la mécanographie, leurs conditions sociales et de travail, leur importance dans la société...
Cela pourrait aider à trouver des ancrages autres que la startup nation.

@dogmazic @XavCC @Olm_e comme dit, il y a un effet qui s’appelle « noise removal » (ou « reduction »?) en anglais. Tant que tu as quelques secondes de seulement bruit pour créer le « noise profile », ça devrait plutôt bien marcher !

If you are priding yourself in personal achievements for more social justice and environmental sustainability, please do document the process (if you have the spoons to do so). I believe that not sharing your learnings, challenges and discoveries with the rest of the world is such a huge lost opportunity. #Documentation is probably said achievements' biggest potential for change.

Hi all! Tech question. How would you recommend to build a decentralised database? Fairly simple, letting people add rows to the database, with a front end that offers them fields to fill in, possibly searching the database, downloading the data as CSV / JSON, and upvoting existing entries.
