@trysdyn I never thought about unions playing a part in that, until I joined one. Amazing what they get involved in, on top of their main work around defending workers rights. But it makes perfect sense because of how social and environmental issues are linked to corporations abusing their powers.

Companies can take a stand. #RStudio does it, just like Bandcamp. The #RStats community has a history of inclusion and diversity, but we need to do more. People saying "companies shouldn't get political" are completely wrong: everything is political. Especially not saying anything. RStudio is B Corp certified, by the way. And they cut ties with DataCamp when they handled a case of sexual harassment appallingly. They do things.
