lol, amp. i noticed that a page would suddenly appear after 8 seconds of waiting if i disabled js, which seemed pretty weird.

turns out that there's a css3 anim to hide the page for 8 full seconds (that is skipped when the js loads ofc).

this is *required* by the amp standard. your page fails validation if you don't do this.

sure makes these goog results look kinda suspicious, huh

probably the best thing about the 500px archival job is that a handful of people will now be running archive warriors, helping to back up other things automatically

and if you aren't, you can download virtualbox + a vm image that will do it in the background with relatively low resource usage

Project Wonderful was the single last decent advertising service and I will miss it dearly. It didn't do any tracking, it wasn't invasive, there were no "bad ads". It was an image and a link. Sometimes a GIF. You had 100% control over what happened.
