Curious, isn't it, that the only people who ever question my credentials or competence as a historian are those who, in the very next breath, assert some ridiculous pseudohistorical nonsense as fact. I mean that literally, it's the only time it ever comes up. #history #historodons

I chose this instance because it looked pretty active, and there is strong moderation against Nazis. Those are really the main criteria for me.

Some racist idiot tried to post a comment on my blog denying the Armenian genocide of 1915 and questioning my credentials as a historian because I accept the proven facts that it happened. Then he complains that I didn't approve his comment. Nope. No racist pseudohistory on my blog!

@ink_slinger Yup, that's it. Hanging around on a hilltop in Athens wearing a toga and talking about civic virtue is apparently the best form of government, according to the Greeks at least!

I am not a Marxist, but given a choice between hanging out with a Marxist or a Libertarian, you can go ahead and wrap me in a hammer and sickle flag!

I love how our incidence has so many socialists, left-anarchists, Spanish speakers and LGBT folks on it. The worst nightmares rolled into one for the right wing trolls on the birdsite. 😂

We're watching De Palma's "Blow Out," and it's really a great movie. Haven't seen it in years. I used to live in Philadelphia in the 80s and it brings back memories.

Of course, it would appear 75% of you speak Spanish, so you may not even know what I'm saying. 😂
