From vicgrinberg@mastodon.social on Mastodon: If you are an # astrodon researcher from across the ESA Member States who has yet to work with # JWST data or have had limited experience so far, and want to build your expertise and confidence going forward, my colleagues will be offering a master class this December: https://www. cosmos.esa.int/web/jwst-data-m asterclass-2023/home The idea is that after the workshop, folks would be well equipped for the analysis of present and future data

Bonjour, # Montreal !
-
Very excited to travel again to # Montreal tomorrow for the # PICO Collaboration Meeting at UdeM. PICO is the dark matter bubble chamber experiment that I work on. I have made some contributions to assembling the PICO-40L experiment and I focus primarily on offline monitoring of the experiment. I am also beginning to ramp up on the successor, PICO-500, where I have made a small contribution to seismic analysis and am looking forward to assisting in the assembly and installation of hardware. https://chirp.cooleysekula.net/attachment/e0a78f56dbf116dc8228ee29ac508d3329d26c211baede7b2e9e03a05b5e7805/view

This has been a sensory overload kind of week. There is a lot going on at our house, at work, and beyond. And it’s only Wednesday. I’ve decided to work from a coffee shop just to have some distance from all of these things. @ jodi should join me! :-)

From ec_euclid@astrodon.social on Mastodon: # ESAEuclid has successfully completed its # commissioning . A collaborative effort of # ESA , the @ ec_euclid , and industry partners established communication 📡, turned on and checked both instruments, focussed the # telescope 🔭, and tested spacecraft pointing 🛰️. This is now complete, and the teams have moved on to "performance verification", observing science-like sequences and calibration images.
