From operationpuppet@mastodon.content.town on Mastodon: Been a bit quieter here on # Mastodon than other places lately but the new surge is nice. Taking a light touch cuz this is one of the few truly “nice” places online I feel like I can chill. Hi new folks. Hope you like # puppets . There aren’t a lot of puppet folk in the Fediverse (yet) so I’m here to represent.

Delicious satire: Not another social media network! https://www. washingtonpost.com/opinions/20 23/07/12/twitter-threads-social-media-nightmare-apocalypse-satire/ To the point: if all social engines adopted # ActivityPub as a means to talk between themselves, then no one would have to sign up for 50 social networks. Pick one, talk to everyone. Please help Alexandra not have to sign up for another billionaire’s network. Adopt # ActivityPub .

When I travel, I am a creature of habit. Get up early, walk to where I need to work, ID a good bakery/Cafe on day 1 and go there first thing in the morning for breakfast, and do a little work before work. :-)

It is the last day of the # GUINEAPIG low-mass # darkmatter workshop. This meeting has been incredible, spanning from fundamental theory to enhance our understanding of scattering on targets, to new technology ideas to remove backgrounds or enhance sensitivity. And what a venue! https://chirp.cooleysekula.net/attachment/b26a948276ebdfc902b39c02cbe584d8b2091f19edc318a1f1189cc8f06204f1/view
