Stephen SekulaFrom leo@twit.social on Mastodon: Today I received an unprecedented 123 reports from twit.social users who had been targeted by crypto spam. The spam accounts all were from mastodon.social. I've suspended all the spammers that you reported - thank you! - but now we're going to have to keep an eye on mastodon.social. I know it's the default Masto instance, but it's up to them to prevent the mass creation of spamming accounts. Otherwise I may have to block the instance.

Stephen SekulaFrom evan@cosocial.ca on Mastodon: So, here is what I'm trying to do to # BuildTheSocialWeb . 1. Servicing the issue queue for ActivityPub and Activity Stream 2.0 on GitHub on a bi-weekly basis, moving to weekly. 2. Documenting patterns in the Activity Streams 2.0 primer, and hopefully doing the same for ActivityPub. 3. Sharing architectural essays on my blog. I've got two lines up: end-to-end encryption and account portability. 4. Building https:// cosocial.ca/ . 5. Expressing myself here. Bringing people here.

Stephen SekulaFrom evan@cosocial.ca on Mastodon: The difference between here and other places is that you're a participant here. All of us are building this network together, right now. Is it perfect? Not yet. Not by a long shot! But we can keep fixing it and making it what we want. Together, collectively, every day. This social web we're building isn't a product on a supermarket shelf. It's a society. It's a whole world. I'm here for the long run. I'm going to keep doing what I can. Thanks for doing what you're doing. I see you. Thanks.
