Looking forward to the # NobelPrize in # Physics being announced tomorrow morning at about 5:45am ET. Good first day at # QueensUniversity . Touched base with colleagues, as well as the PhD student working with me on the # PICO experiment. Really nice to have some long conversations across a range of issues. Made a huge batch of additions to the “to do” list. Setup sub-steps for many of them. Started working through those and made good progress. Made some improvements to # PICO monitoring software, including screen captures of our software-based data-acquisition system panel! Yay, info!

A # salmon fights its way upstream to the pool under # BridalVeilFalls to spawn before dying. The stream is littered with deceased salmon who either already made the journey (who are swept downstream when they perish) or failed in the attempt. Today's adventure was a # walk near # BridalVeilFalls , then down to Kagawong for some strolling and chocolate shopping. The salmon return to the pool under the falls to spawn and die.
