So I re-installed VSCode via the amazing VSCodium fork and vetted the few extensions I use to make sure they respect my telemetry settings.
I'm feeling very good about this. It's a great editor when you rip out all the bits M$ puts in there to collect your information.
I might even use a... LIGHT THEME!??!
