@orbifx I recommend going to about:config and setting javascript.enabled to false (or at least disabling js by default in uMatrix).

After that the web is pure joy.

@aminb I use (and prefer) ACTIVE24, ZONER and IGNUM because they are quick with introducing new security standards. Renewals fees are ok too https://www.active24.cz/en/domains/information-and-pricing

They offer different additional services so I cannot recommend only one, but Active24 looks more modern and has an English version so it is a good start. There should be no problems with transferring domains later so the initial choice is not so important.

@aminb .cz because:
• general use is allowed
• its community maintains free and open source projects¹
• were quick with DNSSEC introduction and pushes for more²
• they create open hardware projects³

I did not find any other domain operator that is so transparent and use funds to do useful stuff, so currently I give money to them.
