Okay, I'm finally getting Emacs. The big draw? I can use it pretty much as a shell in both Windows and Linux.

My view is that code in any kind of multi-developer project should be written with the understanding it primarily needs to be read by other people. I'd favour clear, verbose code over complex and clever any day.

Yeah, it's so hard to read. It also makes trying to figure out the intent of code very difficult.

I finally watched the Hodor backstory episode. I think I need to go and sit somewhere quietly for a bit. That really got to me.

You can get the Emacs combination down to 8 keypresses by killing the line, re-pasting it, then pasting again.

Ugh.

Copying and pasting a line in vim is 4 keypresses:
ESC yy p

Copying and pasting a line in Emacs is 10 keypresses:
C-a C-SPACE C-n M-w C-y

This is why I prefer vim.

My new window manager is tmux. GUIs are so passé.

None of the id3v2 libraries I've found for rust handle multiple artists in the TPE1 frame. Looks like I need to start work on that first.
