I went to see Ministry last night. It's been a while since I saw a band that angry.
Definitely enjoyed it.

@mooncalf
For me, smart casual is "wear a top that isn't a band t-shirt".
I'm not sure I'm a good example though.
@mooncalf
Who wears a tie for smart casual though? 😑
I’ve got some time in my schedule, so I’m looking for a new small to medium sized project. Blogs, folio sites for writers, photogs, illustrators, etc. I’m also sw friendly, so if I a provider needs some web work done, don’t hesitate to reach out.
To get a feel for the kind of work I do, check out https://thetwelfth.house/work. I’m a designer and developer, so I prefer end to end projects.
If there are any questions for me personally about my background, feel free to DM.
Today's album is Moonspell - Wolfheart
The Blood Machines trailer looks AWESOME.
Pallbearer were awesome.\m/
@thegibson yeah, I come into contact quite regularly with racist black metal fans who want to co-opt Nordic mythology/heritage into their nonsense. I've got zero time for that bullshit.
@thegibson oh the Vinnland flag?
White supremacists love their bullshit Nordic "heritage".
@thegibson they did? Ugh.
A promising #Python to #Emacs bridge provided by:

Looking forward to see its effects in real world installations.
Sorry #macOS, won't work for you.
Now that we have proven beyond doubt that the winning pro-Brexit campaign broke electoral law in 2016, where does that leave the result?
Surely if it was an illegally obtained vote, it's an illegitimate result. No doubt the government's response to such points will be "Will Of The People, No Second Referendum Ever" etc, but the point should be debated.
Electoral law is a joke - run roughshod over the rules, win, and get a small fine/slap on the wrist years later. No deterrent at all.
I'm just confused how you see people being called out for PATTERNS of abuse, of manipulating their power, drugging people, and forcing themselves on scores of (usually underage) people
and think
"How can I make this about how good of a guy *I* am?"
@rysiek yeah I'm all for this PEP. It makes sense in the long term.
I am getting to the point where I can't listen to this nonsense any more. As amusing as it is to listen to British radio stations which are a daily 18-hour exercise in filling airtime, some of the dross being talked is getting on my nerves now.
We need radical radio. Not on a puny 20-watt transmitter covering half of Hebden Bridge, but on a national scale, to remind people that another life and another civilisation is possible, what we have isn't How It Always Has To Be.
I don't usually listen to anything The Tatch has to say, but he has a point here.
Too many Pride events, Manchester and London in particular, consist largely of company floats now. "ASDA says We ❤ Pride!" and so on.
It's really not what it's meant to be about, is it? While there is still a fight to be fought, the company floats should be fucked off and replaced with something a bit more radical.
if your news source is filled to the gills with coverage of everything fascists say, even if they claim to disagree, it’s probably controlled opposition. i tell you: deplatform nazis.
if your news source generally affects a lefty perspective but then includes articles espousing fascist talking points, or guest editors from fascist mags writing about civility, it’s probably controlled opposition. i tell you: there can be no compromise with machinery that wants you dead.
@amdt
Doesn't elementary merge their "granite" additions into the GTK libs they provide?
I started thinking about writing a script that would automatically generate unit tests, but nah...
I'd still have to write tests for *that* script.
I can see how Trent thought that Hurt "isn't [his] anymore" after Cash covered it.
