    Thanks for connecting.

    With passage of our time.
    We can share words
    Singly or in herds.
    Some may even rhyme.

Do you have a sense of which account will become your primary?

I went from a generic instance to this .art and have felt more welcome than I might have expected. A great admin has helped.

Marketers are manglers of our language.

    Example of the moment:

Publisher's Clearing House are equating two people's overlapping lifetimes with "forever" as they encourage you to buy magazines in an attempt to get $5000 a week "forever".

    Danke.
Thank you for making a connection.

The wildflower/weed posts are a "summer" thing. Right now, outdoor plants are relatively dormant with evergreen ground cover not usually considered a weed.

Enjoy the posts you can. Ignore the ones you need to.

Poker players resolutely say "four of a kind" when technically they should probably say "I have a tetrad of of aces".

    #WordOfTheDay

And of course a group of four singers is always a quartet instead of a tetrad.

We have to recognize word overlap in languages like English which are drawn from so many other sources.

    noun
    technical
A group or set of four.

    Origin
Mid 17th century: from Greek tetras, tetrad- ‘four, a group of four’.

    ==========

The Kingston Trio was one singer short of a quartet, technically a triad, not a tetrad.

It seems all too common that the "job" for a member of congress is to get re-elected, and campaign money seems to be the primary means of keeping the job.

We, individuals, do not supply such large chunks of money as to get a significant voice.

And yet, how many members of congress turn down donations to their campaigns (no matter which party)?

Should I go for Nextcloud, Sandstorm or something else?

    Help and boosts very appreciated.

I had the good fortune to get it from my hotel room porch on a vacation in Maine.

The equivalent daytime shot is somewhat less evocative, I guess.

Thank you for the shiny word!

I've embedded it in today's WotD.

I am constrained from making it the dominant term because the forum where my "work" starts has already used the term. They are a picky group when it comes to repeats.
