I do hope that the maker culture will begin to change the outlook as STEM classes begin to have an impact on schools. Just hope they remain explorations and not "follow the guide" activities.

Back when I was teaching, I often asked what kind of computer my colleagues had at home. Some said things like, "Viewsonic", referring to the monitor's label.

They didn't recognize what the computer was. These were smart people.

I like onions lightly sauteéd for omelettes, raw on salads and sandwiches.

I crave batter-dipped onion rings...not too dark or overdone.

I've enjoyed shiskebab with wedgeds of onions, but not if they get too burned.

I am not sure I have had actual grilled sliced onions.
