@AceNovo @diodelass Indeed. I currently use a VERY old Android phone myself, and never really as a phone. It's a hand-me-down.
I'm more tweaked about privacy than FOSS on phones, though both are things I care about a lot.

@hirojin ...horny on main?
@calvin The Roy Orbison sound-a-like he had was amazing. (They did a Travelling Wilburys song.)
I went to see Jeff Lynne's ELO in Toronto on August 18th. Here's one of the pictures from the concert.
What a great show, I sang along with every song.
@CobaltVelvet my cat has just started coming to and into the shower stall DURING my showers. I play footsies with her through the curtain :blobmiou:
@scanlime SO mod/admin culture is sooooo problematic :(
I can't believe I just read this.
Quebec's incoming premier is going to retain the crucifix hanging in the National Assembly, stating it is a historic symbol, NOT a religious one.
"In our past we had Protestants and Catholics. They built the values we have in Quebec. We have to recognize that and not mix that with religious signs."
...say what?
Of course this is as he moves forward banning some public officials from wearing hijabs and kippas.

@RobF needs a Murder She Wrote
We know how to stop young people killing each other. We have the plan. The City of Toronto just refuses to fund it. https://www.thestar.com/news/city_hall/2018/10/12/amid-spike-in-shootings-toronto-is-falling-behind-on-its-own-plans-to-curb-youth-violence.html
And a useful Twitter thread from the reporter herself here: https://twitter.com/jpags/status/1050867344078249986
Doug Ford fans always look exactly how I expect them to. "Imagine those stupid, mean brexit guys who are fueled by smoldering, unfocused resentment and just live to dispense misery onto service industry workers, but they're from Ontario." The lens of American liberalism and pop culture has this really inane, stereotyped image of Canada. No, these pricks exist everywhere. They have different regional riffs but there they are. It's just that most people have the sense to not let them have assault rifles and concealed Glocks.
@c25l This is basically how all university research goes now. It's been going this way since the 90s at least.
and now, something for #startrek fans, work safe
