hey fedifriends, are there any #activitypub enabled blogging platforms yet? that is, medium or tumblr like, rather than masto-like

as a consolation prize ill also accept selfhosted blogging platforms that have some kind of protocol-enabled community aspect to them (commenting, sharing, quoting, etc)

cybrespace is going to open registrations tomorrow, march 16, from midnight UTC to midnight utc (@041 to @041)

we're hoping to get some folks who are new to the fediverse in addition to established people wanting to try out this instance, so please spread the word!

also reminder that if you react when a feature lands in a release its way too late

if you care about the direction of the platform, pay attention during development. that's when feedback is most valuable and change is most likely.

look at mastodon's commit history, watch the recently merged PRs. give feedback then, not after its been bugtested and translated and deployed!

also a reminder that the way open source projects work, unless someone specifically decides to own a feature and contributes all the code for it, it doesn't happen.

things don't just start out good or become good by themselves. it takes work and collaboration and time and the effort of people who care. if mastodon isn't meeting a need of yours, don't give up on it. keep making your need known.
