Being disallowed access into sites which are not #gdpr compliant is the culinary equivalent of being denied foods with carcinogens (e.g. DDT). The short-term satisfaction ("I managed to read this article!") comes at too great a risk/cost. Clean up the WWW or flush it.

#gdpr is not even strict enough, IMHO. If sites that had months if not years to prepare now simply - temporarily or permanently - block visitors from #europe that says a lot about their business mode. Avoid them stubbornly. Give them no traffic. They're malware in disguise.

I've noticed some sites appending non-valid parameters like "?europe=true&"
They must be feeling rather smug (about spying like mad on visitors) and butt-hurt over new restrictions. #gdpr will help reduce traffic they attract. Comply or die.

  A court in Wales has handed hefty jail sentences to former partners who ran a business selling fully-loaded Kodi boxes. Michael Jarman and Natalie Forber, who sold more than 1,000 devices over a two year period, pleaded guilty to operating a fraudulent business. Jarmain was jailed for 21 months while Forber, who had no previous convictions, was handed a 16-month suspended sentence.
