#Barncamp is happening again this year! https://barncamp.org.uk/
Not sure what the program is yet, but cool things that have come out of it in the past are the "tech tools for activism" booklet

I wonder about data being steganographically embedded in movie torrents, making it available and distributed unknowingly rubes.
I mean you go to download a TV show torrent and the top file has 2000+ seeders, but it 4GB in size, whilst there is another one that is 200MB in size, that has 100 seeders. They are both 720p webrip. Why ? -

I knew some people who joined the RCP in the late 1980's... this definitely describes them https://www.marxists.org/history/etol/critiques/sullivan/pub-7rcgrcp.html#rcp https://indy.im/attachment/127278 In conversation from indy.im permalink -

Currently following the mutation of the Revolutionary Communist Party into the Brexit Party..
It's a masterclass in practical entryism / sectarianism. If they ever had an ideology it's long been lost in the pursuit of individual power.

I suppose I should be pleased. A execution time from 11min -> 0.1 sec
This functional programming malarky seems a bit dangerous. Making everything stateless and recursive seems nice, but picking the correct data structures and choices makes a huge difference.In conversation from indy.im permalink -

Ok, I made some changes, and it does the first part in a 0.1s now, and the second part in 7s. However the code looks very much like an imperative language now. There is a loop over a list inside which we do things, and use the State Monad to change things.
The result is still slower than Python and less readable now.
