@LilFluff I still haven't got over the time someone pointed me towards Atomic Scribbler because it's free (as in beer) and I can't afford Scrivener and some dude jumped in to tell us both that Manuskript was better because it's open source ...
I am very partial to Autodesk Sketchbook itself, because it fits how my brain works. At any given time it may or may not use a subscription model, though; it can't make up its mind. Seriously, it's free-as-in-beer right now, so do pick it up to play with it.
RIGHT NOW, there's 1 day left on a Humble Bundle that includes Corel Painter and Paint Shop Pro if you pay a little more: https://www.humblebundle.com/software/painter-create-with-confidence My Spouse says its brush model is better than Sketchbook's and it's reasonably fast now. /2
- The cases are unlikely to make federal rights and protections any worse than they currently are, because there currently /are/ no protections. - Non-expert news reporting on Supreme Court stuff is exceptionally bad and often outright wrong. Try to find posts by legal experts or people who have at least a basic understanding of how the US legal system works such as SCOTUSblog.
I'm seeing the fear about the upcoming LGBT rights cases in the Supreme Court go around again. I have not seen the misinformation that was going around before, but in case it pops up again: - The current state of the law as it is currently enforced is no federal rights for LGBT people and dress codes can be sex-differentiated. - The cases /may/ open up expanded legal protections through rational reinterpretations of current law.
RT @danielzklein@twitter.com Game idea: dungeons and dragons. You can play either as a dungeon or a dragon. The dungeon's goal is to get a nice dragon to move in. The dragon's goal is to find a nice dungeon to live in. It's a dating sim.
Hey, y'all. The Asexual Journal is currently taking submissions on aromantic identity:
"Submissions may intersect with topics such as deconstructing romance, navigating romantic expectations, expressions of aromantic identity, sociological analyses of aromanticism, and more. Submissions may include poetry, artwork, essays, abstract work, and more."
The deadline is November 15th. I'll be writing about voidpunk.
