@GuerillaOntologist Come to think of it, my previous call is with Adam Trott of Shared Capital (a co-op). Would it be appropriate to invite him, as well? I don't know if you know him, but I'm pretty sure others in GEO do.
@GuerillaOntologist Ha! I'll just be getting off another call on the same subject. All I have at this point is some vaguely defined ideas, but I'm happy to be in on the conversation.
@mike@lightweight It's both-and. Those of us with overlapping values need to do a lot more collaborating: the co-op movement, the free software movement, the fair-trade movement, the slow-food movement, the re-skillling movement, the maker movement, the commons movement, and so on. That's how we build a political context of our own.
@lightweight@mike There are one and a half ways for labor to be free (libre). One is a union, and the other is a worker co-op. Each is one, the half is the overlap between them.
#LuisRazeto's Facebook banning story gets more interesting. First FB said people have objected. Now they say his content violates their community standards ("El contenido infringe nuestras normas comunitarias".). I looked -- it is a series of slides, each presenting a different concept, such as "Humanizing the Economy" or "Elites and Masses"
Razeto is asking people to upload slides that they like to whatever social media seem appropriate to them. I will upload some here and on FB...
@mattcropp@donblair I have a write-up in two forms. The first is 16 pages of raw notes taken on-site. The second is a single-page summary, a third of which is descriptions of supplementary materials.
@tbeckett I just discovered you're on the board of Shared Capital. Very cool! I'm a long-time friend of Adam Trott, even though I only ever see him at conferences.
