@MunkyBone When I got older, I bought 3 cases, online, for guitars from my 'youth' (20's) that were 'keepers'. A tele, Les Paul, and a Martin.

Don't remember where (Probably Elderly, back then).

They all say Rockcase . I recall they cost less then branded cases. But, they are still holding up to this day.

@murph Depends on what kind of batt life I get with it using a stripped down distro. #! gave me about 4h with the EEE. I'll see how Arch32 does. Its downloaded. I'm dd'ing it to a USB stick now.

I bet I'll have this x260 with me though. This thing can push 8h and I have a spare batt to hot swap in.

Stoped at a local butcher on the way back from golfing. This beast could feed 8 people! Oo

@theru My buddy BspaMike has a T440. They aren't much larger then the X series. But yes, I do like higher resolution and IPS.

@theru BTW, I think the x280 is out now. I bought the x260 just as the x270's came out. With a coupon code the remaining x260's were $900 cheaper then the x270's.

I run Linux, I don't need the newest of the new machine. ;)

@theru I used the x230 for years and was happy with it (it actually started to fall apart physically.) Its the basement/wood shop Laptop now.

Once I got the x260 with a hot swap batt and rapid charging, a pile of old laptops accumulated in the corner of the computer room.

I should donate a few to a newb at the LUG.

@theru I think an early version of that is one it now. When I was cleaning the computer room a few weeks back the EEE came out of a pile. So, I plugged it in.

Its up there ready to back into service.

But honestly this x260 has taken over 75% of my needs. The other 25% I'm on the desktop.

@cobra2 I ended up getting a 2 on that hole! Drove it on the green ~5 feet from the hole and drained the putt.

Heh, you guys are actually interrupting the music as a 'toot' sound plays over the big speakers. (The Lenovo is plugged into the living room speakers blaring through the whole house.)
