Unofficial referendum results show people in five regions of #Russia want to break away.
I'm sure that--with the government opposition they note in the article--the results cannot be accurate. But it does show that there are some currents flowing within the #Russian_Federation that could lead to its breakup given sufficient time.
@simsa04 Oh, wow. Maybe that's only on moderator and administrator accounts. I can hover over someone's avatar and I get a pop-up that gives access to remote profile options such as unsubscribe, block, and "moderate".
Yes, we definitely need user-level stream curation tools.
Apparently, #ChatGPT doesn't [always] access the Internet, but will make up article summaries based on its guess about an article's existence and likely content.

@clacke It still sounds weird that someone got their nose tweaked over you preferring a different kind of toaster than they do. Like maybe that person has something else going on.
And this is why every time there's a Nim update, Windows Defender blocks it as malware. Not enough samples of legitimate programs written in #Nim, too many samples of malware written in Nim.

lnxw48a1#GS4 has his two years checkup coming soon. Daughter-in-law is concerned that his weight (which was already near the lower end for boys his age six months ago) hasn't risen enough. I think part of this is because his brother #GS5 is near the top for his own age ... and not very far behind GS4, who is around the 5th percentile for his age.
#GS3 had his four years checkup and he apparently gained about 25% from where he was six months ago, putting him around the 50th to 75th percentile for his age.
@clacke I don't even own a toaster, so "fancy defrost buttons" is all new to me. Who has all these random gadgets? Something like a toaster should be old technology that just does one thing well and is reliable.
If it sings and dances and requires an Internet connection and an account, you took your toaster and made a problem generator out of it.
