    I'm fully prepared for the 4 year old to find another interest, but while h is interested in meteorology, we're letting him learn as much as he wants and introducing related subjects, too. (Examples: astronomy, geology, life sciences.)

    He likes rocket launches. He even surprised me by being interested in the #NASA #DART mission's approach to an asteroid.

    Discovered something else about the #T-Mobile home #Internet. Besides being unusably slow multiple times per day, (I mean I've seen speeds from 7kbps down / 200 kbps up to 54Mbps down and 54Mbps up, but also lots of 0.0kbps down, 0.0kbps up), when you get a decent connection, they block #VPN data flows. You can connect a VPN, but you cannot send data through it.

    I wish more !RasPi type SBCs were available locally. I had an idea for running an #MQTT broker / server https://mqtt.org/software/ , but it took so long to get a #Raspberry_Pi Zero Two and an #Orange_Pi Zero Two that I've forgotten why I bought them. (More than a month for the RasPi.)

    This is about ten years ago, but some of these things may still be useful in fighting #spam.

    For example, someone today got mention hammered by a #spambot. If those mentions went into an approval queue AND denying the first mention automatically denies all other queued and future mentions from that person, this would be a much easier task.
