Vitalik Buterin, _Proof of Stake_, Pt 2, "On Colusion", p. 157
I've been reading this series of essays by the founder of #Ethereum (also formerly involved with #Bitcoin magazine). They're good reading, with lots of theory discussed by someone much more well-read than I. I love the way he quickly dismisses finance as the primary target of #cryptocurrencies and #blockchains, instead conceiving of a virtualized and distributed computer ... and the way he intently focuses on the costs and benefits of distributed networks and governance systems.
Note: I still own zero of any cryptocurrencies, despite my belief that minority communities in particular should transact part of their business that way.
Lots of links to legitimate sources showing that #SARS-CoV-2 frequently leaves lasting damage, including brain and cardiovascular damage, even after a "mild" #COVID-19 infection.
The DART mission did change an asteroid's orbit around a larger asteroid. From what I remember, they were hoping that by changing the smaller object's orbit, the larger object's orbit around the sun would also be changed.
What kind of idiot thinks restaurant employees should not be required to wash their hands after they go to the bathroom? Or that restaurant owners and managers should not be required to implement and enforce such policies?
That senator from #NC should resign, so the voters can pick someone else.

lnxw48a1I read a newly passed #MS law from https://legiscan.com/MS/text/SB2346/2023 and I noticed that it doesn't explicitly say when MS claims jurisdiction. It could be any of: 1. Server / admin is located in Mississippi 2. Server and its admin is located anywhere but intentionally provides services to residents of Mississippi 3. Minor that views site is located in Mississippi 4. Minor that views site lives in Mississippi but is visiting outside the state 5. Sheriff doesn't like the site, so claims jurisdiction despite none of the above conditions being true.
Also, they don't specify penalties, other than to say that the courts can decide to order payment of "court costs and reasonable attorney fees". I could have missed it, but I did read it twice a couple nights ago.
Meant to punish online porn accessible to minors ... but it doesn't try to too hard define what is porn and what is art or educational.
