How to read an #infosec article:

Look for the sentence that pivots from panic to actually giving facts. It will sound something like:

"Actually, Signal's encryption wasn't broken like our headline misleadingly suggested, but ..."

How to read an article about "self-made" youngsters:

Look for the sentence that reveals that the kid's parents are multi-millionaires, usually 7/8ths of the way through

proposing the "Silver Spoon Test", a metric that measures how many sentences an article about how a young person got out of american debt hell goes on before mentioning that they inherited money or property from their family. a bonus of -10 is applied if the article contains the phrase "if we could do it, anybody can"
