      Once you grok Emacs, you realize that it's a thermonuclear toaster that can also serve as the engine for... well, just about anything you want to do with text. When you think about how much your computing life revolves around text, this is a rather bold statement. Bold, but true.

    @schestowitz Linux Foundation exists to protect corporate interest. Microsoft, Google, Samsung and many other big players are members and whoever pays the bills dictates policy...

    Thankfully this needs a machine locked down with Secure Boot and we see more and more support for Coreboot and other foss replacements for UEFI. Also not buying Intel hardware helps too, AMD Ryzen is amazing and should be your choice next time when shopping anyway ;)
