@xenome Haha... because the original writer redacted that.
-
@nameface @rye I'd feel terrible too! x_x

Interesting how according to this study, very few people had brains that were stereotypical to their gender. So it is probably more normal that our brains are a mixture between the two, and that doesn't mean our body is wrong for not following that pattern. You can still be female in body, but have a mix between 'male' and 'female' structures in the brain itself.
-
"Tel Aviv University in Israel conducted a series of tests on the brain structures of 1400 male and female brains. The results determined the following:
There is no purely “male” or “female” brain.
In most cases, there was up to a 53 per cent cross over between male and female structures in the brain. More simply, men and women shared the same characteristics.
Only between zero to eight per cent of the brains contained all ‘male’ or all ‘female’ structures.
The researchers went on to analyse datasets that evaluated stereotypical gender behaviours. They found that participant interests were just as varied as their brain structures. Only 0.1 per cent of subjects showed gender-specific stereotypical behaviour (such as video gaming, sports, reading, etc)."

"The Invisible Boy, a Canadian report on male victimization, displays some very troubling facts about female abusers and male victims. Sexual abuse by females on “rapists, sex offenders and sexually aggressive men” is high in occurrences. However, depending on the study, between 59 to 80 per cent of male sex offenders were abused by a woman. The study admits that “male adolescent sex offenders abused by “females only” chose female victims almost exclusively”."
-
"For example, men are considered active participants in sexual activity. They also considered over-sexualized and always engaged in the idea of having sex.
In many ways, these stereotypes assume that men are able to protect themselves and they will not turn down an opportunity for intercourse."

@nameface @rye They would hurt my feet... and probably damage them. :/
-
@nameface @rye Good to hear I guess.
-
@nameface @rye I'm afraid it must happen. It's my thing.
-
@marmite Haha. Indeed! Although I suspect that a lot of these things are neglected in many homes, alas. It also sounds pricey! Gotta invite professionals for certain things like chimney sweeping, window cleaning, tough stains that won't easily remove, and for certain materials or antiques.
-
@ajr Definitely. I've kinda forgotten what it said about stone floors... probably more mopping it and then scrubbing any stains with a special solution. As is normally the case! Depending on the stone, you have to avoid certain things.
-
@marmite Exactly the same here. Lol.
Really makes me think about house cleaning. If done properly, it likely still doesn't leave much room for lazing about or a second job like people think. Even with technology advances there are still so many things that need a cloth, cleaning solution and a good scrub that isn't too hard.
-
>Wax all interior wood once a year.
How many people do this for wood furniture or cabinetry?
-
If you don't look after everything well, then it starts to lose its colour and becomes dirty... it drags the feel of the room down with it.
-
I don't normally think about how walls need hoovering and even cleaning any stains away.
-
Reading this house cleaning book reminds me that there is so much housework to do still... it's very confusing. x_x

When it comes to christmas and birthday gifts, for the longest time I haven't known what to tell people I want. Money has been better so that I can use it for the things I need.
-
@nameface @rye Morning! Hope your morning is going well.
-
@nameface @rye No... no... no! Are you trying to hurt my poor feet? Heels don't go well with them!
-
@nameface @rye I like the looks of them, but I need some form of trousers to cover my legs too. :')
