@tuxdude @flaky Humans are quite resilient so I think you will hopefully be able to process this and not allow it to harm your psyche too much. Glad to hear that you are physically okay. I think it shook a lot of people, but it's not the first shooting. That has become a norm, alas. :s

When you make your own food, it tastes fresher and you can make it to your own tastes by experimenting with it.

If I'm honest though, this is how I usually feel about most processed foods. It's okay, but doesn't win taste awards. I really am looking forward to making more of my own foods.

I used to get Gregg's sausage rolls in the past. So I was really looking forward to sampling their latest vegan sausage roll offering. I managed to do this while away.
I have to say that it was too bland for my expectations. Quorn is usually quite bland, but I was looking forward to the other ingredients to give it flavour that are more Gregg specialty. It did leave me feeling filled up enough to go walking for a while which was appreciated. But it won't win flavour awards to me. I'm now beginning to wonder how I would like their normal sausage roll... something tells me not too well.
So it doesn't have the wow flavour, but it gives you everything else you'd expect I guess. Then again, flavours are usually dumbed down for general consumption to appeal to a wider audience.

In some ways, I'm glad that I feel angry today... because it would be very easy for me to beat myself up. Anger means the voices in my head are channeling the frustrations away from me. It can be both good and bad, depending on what is earned and what isn't. I want to take responsibility for what is my fault but not for what isn't. Plus I think I just need to feel how I feel right now.

@epsiloco Yeah... it is difficult for me to imagine this. A part of me wants to move back to city states or smaller. So that politicians can be better held to account by the people, and even then it might be difficult... but at least they wouldn't be as detached to the area.
