@epsiloco Yes. I wonder when we will say they aren't fit for the job...
-
@epsiloco Probably because I'm still processing the bullshit that happened to or around me last week. And I guess politics isn't helping there.
-
I feel furious atm. I really need to stop feeding that fury today...
-
well, you know, if you talk all the time, you'll never hear what anybody else has to say.

@rice Sure! I look forward to it. :)

@rice Do you think we'll be able to chat tomorrow?

"In Latino culture; don't try to shame or embarrass parents is a big deal
latina can be aggressive and exploitative best predictor of future behavior is past behavior unless resources are used to change it
The amount of people with PTSD from childhood is almost the entire world population and about everyone in the 3rd world
Female Scream due to taking advantage fear of men inflicted by their mothers and chicktatorship (welfare police state)
People who try to ostracism those who tell the truth about their terrible behavior have no intention of apologizing about their behavior infliction on others" Interesting.

@nameface Not at all. :')

@nameface Yeah... it took me a while to get through this video. Maybe that was a part of it! :')

@nameface Ha. I was listening to this woman say those words a lot in a video and it started to give me a headache. u_u

"The Gender Identity Research Clinic was founded by Dr. Robert Stoller. With a primary goal to “change the behaviors of ‘sissy boys’ and ‘tomboy’ girls”" What even?

@snail In the case we were describing, I would agree with you. I'd like to see more set up. Women on women abuse is another topic that would need a separate group. I have heard there are problems for women in those relationships, and they need support that is going to be personal to them. Especially when you set up group therapy. I think that for the national website I mentioned, I would have liked to see a link for men since they included one aimed at women and their rights.
-
@snail It was more of a national site that I think is charity-based to help give advice to people. It is sad that it doesn't get nearly enough attention for men as it should do. There should be more support for men that go through this. It shouldn't be ignored or acceptable. I feel the same way for what happens to women. I can see where the writer is coming from, and maybe more women are likely to search their website about that. But it does seem biased in a way considering the original article topic wasn't about this but differences between marriages and co-habitation. Men get generic things, and women are singled out... like you can visit this website specifically for women that are abused.
I think one of the other problems is that some movements aren't friendly when it comes to an all-male space. They will shut it down or talk about how sexist it is. But if we have spaces that women can turn to which are catered towards just women in case they get triggered by seeing men there for example... then we need the same for guys. I just don't know if they would get the funding or if it would be accepted. Fortunately, I do see some spaces/clubs geared towards this for both sexes even though I don't think I would join them.
