@Katsudon @kezzbracey Technically speaking, Fastmail is the best option by far. Mailbox is in theory way more secure being in Germany, but some parts of their service is horrible.

They don't have app passwords and if you activate 2FA your password is suddenly "<PIN-code><one time password>" and your regular password is only used by e-mail clients.

The UI is messy and it's designed by someone who never took a course in UX design and fails everything in regard to accessibility and logic.

@bun @G_Dog1985 It's cleaner, simpler, less resource intensive and very keyboard friendly. :)

@ChrisTalleras This is not the way I want more users to Linux.

If you want something similar I would recommend Artix Linux.it's based on Arch, but with either OpenRC or runit as the init system.

@michel_slm I've heard a lot of good things about the spiritual successor to Antergos called Endeavour OS.

Me personally would recommend Artix Linux, it's a fork of Arch Linux with either OpenRC or runit.

I'm disappointed to see that Manjaro advocates proprietary software over libre software, especially when we have perfectly fine options that works great already.

@fireglow No. There's a lot of duplicate (like Cherry MX Black and Cherry MX RGB Black) and similar switches. If you want a switch tester with unique switches I would highly recommend buying a custom one from NovelKeys.xyz. :)

@kezzbracey I like spaces for intending, but I have set up Vim to make it work just like tabs. Tab makes 4 spaces and backspace deletes 4 spaces at once.

I would say Vim, it's simple, efficient and fun to use. A lot of applications have Vi-like keybindings as well, like qutebrowser, Newsboat and Mutt.

@kezzbracey There has always been a friendly beef between Emacs and Vim. And I'm sure Emacs is a great piece of software, but me personally don't need my text editor to be able to make me toast or to let me play games in it.

I also don't like the way they use the Control-key for everything. I don't think it's ergonomic. I very much prefer being able to stay at the home row with Vim.

Try both and make up your own opinion. :) Vim supports Emmet as well.

@kezzbracey No sane person uses Emacs, but if you have to use it, you should use that Vi-mode. :D
