I"m spilling further and further down the gaming system rabbit hole. Just bought a new 2ds xl because it was so cheap, even though I know I'll probably play the same games as I could on my dsi xl.

@clacke I did clear my cache afterwards. I think I'm going to keep in set to another country clear my cache everywhere and see if I can get something to think I'm in a different country.

I don't have a reason to appear I'm someplace else, but I've been messing around with the server in my vpn to see the effect.

However, when I change to a server in a different country, websites still seem to know where I am.

Using PIA on my router and the router log shows I've changed server and the status says connected. Router is running dd wrt.

What am I missing?

Looking at permissions on some android applications. This one is one that helps you find houses that are rent to won. Says it needs permissions to:
1) Take pictures and video.
2) Access precise location
3) Modify and read contents on SD card.

WTF is that access needed? None of it is needed. Criminal.

I don't play board games but today I saw several at goodwill for $2-$3 each, all looking well cared for and probably complete so I got them, About $18 total.

The problem is I don't play board games or have anyone to play with if I did.

@clacke Just spent some time watching Skin Whitening commercials and got a little sick over some of the actors I saw in them.

Sharuhk Khan being of them.

Guess it wouldn't help much if I said, "Lily white to purple black, you're beautiful in your own skin." but that's true if you ask me.

@clacke I do get the sense it's different in that the not so hidden message is the darker people would be better people if whiter, while the white people might be more sexy if darker.

@clacke I haven't seen that one but I've seen a couple others that freaked me out.

@clacke Indeed. I thought about in depth in my youth. What bothered me about it at time was that many of the people I know who were into being darker via suntans didn't like people of color.

Go figure.

@clacke Every time I see one of those creams advertised I think of the time a sales woman came up to my wife with a jar in hand.

I asked, "Are you seriously suggesting she try to change the color nature graced her with? And pay for it to boot?"
