@deejoe I've been interested in both topics for 20 years. An example of what you're referring to would suffice. Most likely I agree but would appreciate an example to see what kind of thing you're referring to.

I admit that while my career does require me to get technical, sometimes I find myself feellng more like I'm in technical weeds than details.

So I got to thinking about what might a former slave have in common with the likes of Trump that would make him think that some in the KKK were good people. I hit on the idea that both must have a very low bar for the measure of a good man.

In the case of the former slave, a good man was someone who only beat his slaves to welts, when they deserved it.

In the case of Trump, good people seem to be fascists who don't run over people with their cars.

I'm reading a book called 'Slave Narratives: A Folk History of Slaves in the US'. It's basically a collection of stories from slaves still alive in the 1940s. Most are 80-90 years old.

I'm only 20% finished but one of the things that stuck out to me is one of them said, this is a quote from my memory, "Dey's good folk and bad folk in de Klux", which reminded mel of Trump saying there were good people and bad in Charlottesville.

@mike Heh! I just watched a review of this game. Looks pretty good. Now, if only someone would make a near perfect version of R-Type like was done for Super mario bros.

Enough with the idea that everything must grow to be successful. Most things are already at excess.

@yogthos I REALLY want to believe there is no way this can be true. But a quick look back through the things that have been proven to be true forces me to conclude, "Of course they are planning that."

@bob I've watched them all. I'm falling in love with this series and hope it endures.

As I watched them I couldn't help but think I would have loved to have someone like her as a mentor/someone at work like her to learn from.

Heck, I'd still like to have someone liker her at work.

That was pretty good. Makes it super easy for 1 person meals.

Now to work on getting my head around exactly how small single portions are.

i bought an insta pot from goodwill for cheap a couple months ago. today i put a little meat, diced potatoes, dashes of random seasoning, 1 serving each of canned carrots and canned corn with their water. and 20 minutes later had quite a tasty soup.

@balrogboogie Oh yeah. Can't go to that thing. In fact, I'm going to research that. If it's as simple as your post makes it out to be, I'll likely change my distro to a non debian based distro. I currently run Debian stable and have for years.

So I decided to check out a show on TWIT. Something I don't often do. It was the episode about Mycroft on FLOSS Weekly.

Randall reminded me of why I hate him :) by lamenting Mycroft doesn't run on Mac.

Guess It'll be another year or two before I give TWIT another chance!
