It rained in the desert today. The student who moved here because the weather is more like the country he's from got his shoes soaked. And the surfaces that don't see much rain were slick.
On the way back from work, the plants were greener, and there was water in a few of the washes. #smallstories
Tomorrow I'm teaching in a small town. The projector in the room didn't have a cable connection that fits my laptop, so I asked my host whether there was a computer store nearby. She said they just had a Wal-Mart.
I went hunting for computer businesses instead, and the second was a local custom PC business run by a blind person. I'm much happier that my $10 cable came from him. #smallstories
Sometimes self care is food, sleep, and a light at the end of the tunnel, and I gave myself those things this evening. I have a family that cares about me and wants me well and happy too.
Take care of yourselves however you can, y'all. And thank you to all who take care of each other.
