Why carry weight on your back if you can roll it around. ;) (ok, tbh, as a messenger I always carried a backpack - but only because I also had to carry the deliveries up the stairs of buildings not only to the front door - and that was in a previous life anyway... ;) )

@pla wind is generally more dangerous to cyclists than snow. IMHO this was a good call. I once tried to cycle in an pretty hefty storm in Iceland. After the wind blew me off the road a couple of times and my average speed fell below walking speed, I called it quits for the day.

@silkevicious @pla see, there's a plan: sell the car and spend the money on a motorcycle license. It might even be enough to throw in another bicycle.

I just booked a test ride of a Zero DSR14.4 electric motorbike in two weeks. At 0 RPM this thing has the torque of my bike at 5000 RPM. This is going to be fun!
