@maron Best response to contested premises: anticipate them by explaining what and why. Then if someone whines that they don't like the premises, respond with: "Refer to introduction in which we analyse the choice of premises. If you don't like those, write your own paper in which you explain your choices." Alternatively: "Selection of alternative premises was outside the scope of this paper. Further publications to follow."

@maron Make sure that your case is watertight and your language unambiguous. It's very difficult, but that's why we get paid the big bucks. Or get called fancy titles. Or get misquoted by big media, and misunderstood by the public at large. After that, just develop thick skin.

Add a copy of the python library reference document, so that you can search for useful libraries when you want to do something.

There are similarities and differences. For example, film music should tend to reveal hidden moods and subtleties, while game music emphasises key action. They both offer emotional cues, but the difference in the natures of film and games respectively provide different purposes and contexts for the music.
