@katiekats on a slightly seperation note: are you still on xmpp? If so please answer me (or send me a message)
-
@katiekats I know that I shouldn't get this involved, but I'm in tears just thinking about him. He's one of those guys that I really took under my wing. He wasn't supposed to pass my course, but he did. He could make a good labourer if he was given the chance and kept away from nut cases
-
I've got a real burden upon me regarding one of my former pupils. His mates haven't seen him in months, he's from a single parent family following his father's death; his mother is an alcoholic. Please spare this boy a thought and a prayer, he needs all he can get.
-
@katiekats that's a good point
-
@katiekats if they have been educated then the answer is that any medical issues as a direct result will need to be paid for (not by the NHS). No sure if this is legal but it may make people think again

@purplehippo what worked more with me was: father: smoked all of the time. Me: that stinks, I hate that
-
I'm actually worried about the future generations, right now the smokers are being told that "you can't". As any parents knows "you can't" is often answered with "I will just to spite you!" rather than banning people I would rather they simply educated people and let them be free to make up their own minds
-
@purplehippo if anything it made me want to pirate stuff and buy more knock off DVDs
-
@bob @purplehippo if it were up to me then we'd only have laptops and PCs in the house, but the others overrule me :'( at least we don't waste money on Sky TV anymore (although that was painful for the others in the house for a while)
-
@purplehippo it brought me to mind of the awful copyright adverts of the late 90s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TbqBPmInjQ
-
Watching the cancer stories tonight for StandUpToCancer and I have to echo the words of Adam Hills https://youtu.be/UXa_s0OvtJQ

@purplehippo it's the pish adverts that I remember back in the day. I remember one on the bus saying "You wouldn't be happy if the driver didn't have a licence, then why are you happy that people watch TV without one" and I'm there thinking because they need to prove they have tested ability to drive the bus and ensure the safety of everyone, people don't need to prove that they can safely sit on their back sides and look at a screen.

Guy with sore lips mentions it to his mate. His mate says that he has an Indian Healing Stone and that it worked for one of his other friends. "Sounds great, what do I have to do" replies the man with the sore lips. The friend answers "Kiss the stone and rub them on your lips" after doing this several times the guy pees the stone back stating that it did nothing. The friend replies "strange, it worked a treat on my mate's hemmaroids yesterday" 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
