Has someone got a template text to send to companies/organizations why they should open source their apps and add them to #fdroid?

Maybe we should write some and put it on f-froid.org somewhere 🤔.

On another note: I could really use some test/development phones for #fdroid related stuff. Anyone got an old Android phone lying around they would like to donate?

Doesn't matter much what version or flavour of android they are running as long as touchscreen/display/WiFi is still working they could be useful.

Also, strategically muting spammy friends does wonders for your productivity and friendships!

Okay folks, I'm having a heck of a #wordpress problem. The Comments meta box doesn't appear on post edit pages, and it isn't a ticky box for it in Screen Options.

Deactivating plugins didn't change anything. Any ideas on what to try next?

Okay, #python people. I've been reading about #virtualenv and I totally get it in the context of development. What I don't get is distribution. If I finish building a command line app in python and want to share it, would everyone that wants to use it have to set up a virtualenv on their end to do so? And what about in context of a cron job? Is it normal to script a wrapper that launches it in virtualenv context? What am I missing here?

This is a bit of a longshot, but if any on my followers have mounting bolts and washers for old Mafac "Racer" centrepull brakes gathering dust in a shed somewhere, do let me know.

I'm Chris, a POC from a US ghetto, worked as a social worker and STEM teacher for poor, homeless, immigrant and largely non-white kids in America's inner-city slum. I'm a one-person indie game dev, and my games are personal reflections of my experiences.
