@aitoribanez for a laptop the best Ubuntu laptop I've owned is a Dell XPS13. Great hardware.

For a phone, there isn't one supported by Ubuntu today. The @Ubports folks might have a suggestion on which works best for them. I'm guessing they'll suggest a @Fairphone .

@banjofox @cwebber certainly doable with other services connected to Github. I've done it. But the integration and the completeness of the Gitlab CI/CD solution is pretty top-notch.

Now, that doesn't mean there's nothing to change 😉 But, I've pushed it pretty hard and been happy how it responds.

@banjofox @cwebber I find that the CI/CD features alone make Gitlab a lot better.

I'm migrating everything I can. Even my vim config has CI now.

@eishiya one solution is to use a recursive mutex if the language you're using supports them. For instance, Go does not.

@cwebber @banjofox connecting them together is interesting, I was more thinking of it as source data for the network. So you could re-toot issues or show off work.

Connecting them would be interesting as well.

@n8 I found with photos I had a harder time just because I knew how to do more. "Oh, I can fix the color on this one!" Where you can't have those thoughts and keep a reasonable speed.

@n8 I used Scancafe and was happy with them. They have a choice on whether you want to do it in the US or India (different rates) I sent them off-shore.

They also have "gift boxes" that I've given a couple times. Basically it is a box that you can fill up and they'll scan everything in it. Given it to older relatives where the simple was beneficial.

@n8 I started that way, and realized that while I could do it better than one of the services, my quality declined quickly over time. So it was better to pay someone. Honestly happy that I did.

Bought some simple patch cables from Amazon and I'm most excited about the boxes they came in. I'm going to "rack mount" my RaspberryPi's in them!
