Oh! We do #FF on here, right? My recommended human follow for this week is @ajroach42, Internet Archive spelunker in all types of media and genres.

My recommended bot follow for this week is @MinecraftSigns, capturing the poignant whimsy of, well, #minecraft signs. Even if you don't play Minecraft.

Whoops I forgot to link the #recipe. Made with the vegan stock recipe linked therein: www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2016/11/classic-butternut-squash-soup-recipe.html

Didn't finish the butternut squash soup till just now, when it's unquestionably too late to use the food processor. So I'm eating chunky soup. Still pretty good.

    Wacky Idea:

Step 1: Create some awful blockchain/gig economy company

Step 2: Hire a 20something white cis man to be a fake co-founder so you can get VC money

Step 3: Instead of wasting tons of VC money on SF office space and free beer, run the company frugally and burn through the rest of the cash on social welfare projects

Step 4: Still don't make profit and fail, just like all of the other startups in the space, but fail with a legacy of turning VC money into actual social good

They have butter tea, spiced tea, balep (a sort of flat bun), various savoury breakfast combos, and more. Not much seating as it is a very small shop, as locals will know.

Butter tea is very good in winter.

Are we posting about yaks now?

    Yaks: easily confused with dogs

[Image description because it's borked in my client: a Google search for "little yak cafe hours" suggests "Did you mean: little dog cafe hours" above a map of the local Little Yak Café.]

Dream journal: shopping with my sister at Holt Renfrew (we didn't end up buying anything); capturing a few small spiders as we walked through the slushy parking lot; waiting for cinnamon rolls at a rinkside café; a leaky but already furnished new apartment; a dazzling trip to Kuala Lumpur (from a bridge, mosques glittering through the mist).

some ideas for ways to honour Ursula K. LeGuin:

    - punch a fascist
    - pet a cat
    - invent a gender
    - join a collective
    - have an orgy
    - run for city council
    - live in the woods
    - protest in the streets
    - dream
