I uninstalled Instagram from my phone because it was being wacky and now the battery lasts twice as long

@riking there's not even grey squares in the browser/app, it just goes from 2014 straight to 2016, i'm getting real unhappy with it 😖 I suspect they're all just, gone. I'll try contacting support with screencaps of the folders from the takeout and the browser, I guess. Thanks for replying 😃

@riking to clarify, there are json files for those but no jpgs in the takeout

@riking yes, photos from March 2016 onwards, some from 2013 and 2014

I only started looking at doing this because I was trying to pull up photos from Xmas 2015 and noticed all of 2015 was gone from the photos app. There are json files for 2015 in the zip from takeout but no images.

The json files all contain similar data, dates and timestamps, little else

This method doesn't work either because most of the photos do not appear in the google drive folder

I used Takeout to try to download my google photos, and it's given me several years worth of folders with dates on, all containing json files, and none of them prior to September 2017 contain any jpgs. Would appreciate any advice on this ✨
