    @clacke The "choice" of going without insurance was people choosing to pay their rents and feed their families. No one willingly chose to go without healthcare.

    But, yes, pay has been (and continue to be) too low on the bottom end of most organizations' pay schedules, and cheaping out on benefits is part of that.

    @clacke If true (I've heard nothing to the effect that the individual mandate was repealed), that could be good news. The mandate was my major disagreemeint with ACA, because it punishes those with "bad" employers under some mistaken belief that they willingly choose to go without coverage, forcing them to (in many cases) pay for plans they cannot use in order to avoid tax punishment.

    @deadsuperhero Is that when you're sleep-deprived? My personal experience says that an hour or two more of sleep for a few days clears a lot of the fog.

    Pleroma is insufficiently cause-oriented. The project needs to announce a world-unifying goal and promote it to the masses.

    @lain @ayy There are plenty of #USAmericans who are still fanatics for the NFL, but in some of their key markets, the kneeling thing and teams abandoning cities where they had strong fanbases in pursuit of larger cities is having an effect.

    I was never a nut about it, but when the #NFL left #Los_Angeles all those years ago, they became irrelevant to me. Bringing the Rams back from St Louis (and stealing the Chargers from San Diego) does nothing to make them relevant.
