gonna take a short breather, then i'm gonna run through the forensics of all that's malfunctioned or died in the last year and what they all had in common

i cannot afford to replace this stuff, not even if i saved up for a year, because my disposable income has been 0 for like a year and likely won't improve any time in the foreseeable future

even if i somehow miraculously built a brand new computer, i would be terrified of it being destroyed again

everything is dying. all my tech. the lga 1150 motherboard and/or the cpu, kaput. my r5 1600x, kaput. my 1060 3gb, potentially also kaput

so i was worried my gpu might be dead too, popped it in my temp pc (last time i used it it was unstable but could at least boot)

two different power supplies and the entire computer refused to turn on. i have no idea what's going on

apparently drivers for windows 10 are switching to some sort of DCH format, whatever that means? it asked me whether i wanted standard or dch when searching for the nvidia drivers

it gets all kinds of lonely barely ever interacting with folks who know what it's like to live with that stuff. i want someone i can talk to in the flesh about it once i get the guts for that again
