usually distractions are the best way for me to cope with things until i know how to deal with them and that even extends to physical pain, though it's not always enough

i'm mostly just disappointed i couldn't do anything productive today, i barely felt alright cooking myself breakfast and i'm not doing a good job at eating.

it's entirely possible the cause of the pain is undereating, but i've been eating decently enough lately that it shouldn't be this big a problem

hmm, i took an aleve earlier but my body feels like it's in so much pain that i'm slightly dissociating trying to manage it and i'm freaking out a little internally. not fun. tried to take a bath but i may have made myself even more sore. ugh

hoping some splatoon will take my mind off things

@nventous @radicalgraffiti this, but also keep in mind that if people can't have a serious discussion when the majority vote thing becomes a serious issue that is oppressing specific important experiences and involvement with an issue, then it has become an oppressive power structure whether or not the group came to a consensus on using it in the first place.

@radicalgraffiti @nventous just because majority vote is cleaner, easier, and looks more efficient on paper, does not mean that people are overall happier from the process nor results of it.

@radicalgraffiti @nventous just like with reaching a consensus; perfect doesn't exist, go for whatever makes everyone involved the happiest, and try your best to make sure everyone is on the same page.

if there are problems, that's life.

but don't just decide to go the easiest route because no perfect one exists, when better routes clearly do exist.

@radicalgraffiti @nventous we've gone to a lot of work to make sure our currently absolutely broken and unbalanced system vaguely works, we can also put in a lot of work and learn as we go with a consensus system.

and yeah, we'll never have a perfect system, but i don't see why we should hold out for perfect and not just go with whatever best solution we can come up with now, that could still be miles better than what we already have.
