futurama's vision of the Future Internet actually kinda makes sense considering how much easier it would be to use the internet if it were presented via tangible concepts that mirror real life.

i'd like to see more discovery but i don't have my hopes up for it scratching that star trek itch. for the most part, i enjoy it as a separate thing. it's too different, but still enjoyable nonetheless.

oh neat, fortnite on the switch. guess that'll come in handy if i'm ever away from home, have an internet connection, and super bored

@saligiandancer i'm not pleased with it as a star trek. actually quite annoyed that it doesn't feel like old trek at all. but it's better than the kelvin movies at least, and it's enjoyable if you ignore the fact that it's supposed to be a star trek...

@saligiandancer it's a prime directive from the 29th century in the star trek universe, which dictates what can and can't be done with time travel (preventing paradoxes, prohibiting the altering of timelines, etc)

@hoodie oh neat! so that may have actually helped me partially. i basically self-medicate with coffee because i am slightly fatigued all the time to the point where i never have energy to do anything, but my mind is always racing so it's hard to actually sleep when i need to

i would really love to try to get TMS since it seems like a much better solution than medication hopping if it does end up working, with no lasting side effects

but actually managing to get TMS is an ordeal itself

@hoodie ah, wellbutrin. now that's one i recognise. haven't tried it yet but my doc did give me a script for it iirc

i wonder if i'll ever go back on escitalopram, or ever start any other prescription drugs for mental health. i would like to find something decent for helping with my sleep, since previous drugs were not viable longterm, has horrible side effects, and made it harder to sleep when i wasn't using them

herb sometimes helps but it makes me sleepy and expects me to do the rest, instead of forcing me to sleep/stop thinking, and i need the latter.
