Hei alle sammen! Jeg er #nyher: - jeg heter Petter, bor i Drammen og er pensjonert IT-konsulent. I fjor forlot jeg Facebook fordi jeg ikke likte forretningsmodellen deres, og også fordi jeg syntes det var altfor mange useriøse innlegg selv i seriøse grupper. Jeg fant fram til Diaspora under leting etter et alternativ til FB-grupper. I tillegg til å prøve ut den tekniske løsningen ønsker jeg også å bli kjent med nye mennesker. Mine interesser omfatter mye forskjellig, fra miljøvern til veteranbiler.

I feel inspired tonight, so I opened a scene I started on some time ago in blender, time to add more details to it. Like it so far - currently blocking out things as I move along, not focusing on small details, just layout and such. the screenshot is from the eevee viewport. #b3d

I am currently self-host https://diasporapod.no , but I also rent a VPS for my personal things (my website at https://stigatle.no ), I'm considering moving the content on the VPS (website and such) + the diaspora pod to a combined server on amazon aws. I have not decided yet, but I'm considering it.
The reason for doing that is to lower maintenance and also the cost would be almost the same as what I have now, but I then free up one of my personal servers by moving that one over to amazon aws.
Also keeping everything backed up \ maintained is faster then now. I'll think about it for a little while longer until I decide. If I do decide to move it, then I'll make sure to get everything in place before switching over. Keeping any downtime to a minimum (basically it'll just be down while importing the database from my current server).

Holy shit this video about Jordan B Peterson visiting New Zealand is just fantastic to watch. The interviewer is doing a fantastic job, putting facts on the table, and the person on the other end is having a really hard time explaining him\her self. I just love it.

The best part is that the group that has so much against him planted fake bombs to stop people from seeing a movie, and then they think Jordan B Peterson is the bad guy. Hahaha, man that's funny.

Cool stuff, #godotengine on #openbsd , very cool that it works there. and one of very few game engines \ editors (if not the only one) that has info about how to compile it on openbsd in their documentation. Is also in openbsd as binary package ready to install.

Also did this render back then. The model of the woman was from a cd that came with a 3dsmax modelling book (quake related), the rest of the scene I made my self, rendered it with 'finalrender' plugin for 3dsmax. I do not know how long ago, but over 13 years ago.
