The Interview with Javier Reina looks great. Just finished editing.
It is going to be a very enjoyable read.
One of the upcoming interviews will be with a relatively young person who juggles many things in life. She is a writer, a journalist and a DJ among many other things.

@cy I may have to do some manual work too.
@GucciPiggy You are very well stocked. Possibly the best three phone combo.
@cy What happened?
@GucciPiggy My point was more in regards to why a phone needs so much power to do some very basic tasks.
I do get many apps crash on Samsung S6. That happens on all OS but more on Android.
A few backs, my phone just went crazy for no reason and stayed on a restart boot loop, and I couldn’t retrieve any data. Lost all my photos and other data on phone.
Again, can happen on any OS but particularly happens a lot on Android. It isn’t by chance. Google has the resources to fix that.
I tried to upload the list of accounts I follow to my new instance and it doesn’t seem to have updated it. Does anyone know why?
@vurpo To an extent, yes very true. They seem to expand that framework with each generation and also increase the price difference. This one is a huge hike up though.

I will eventually change instances, moving from Mastodon Cloud to Mastodon Social.
My handle at Mastodon Social is @eox
Mastodon Cloud has some issue with my phone and Mastodon apps don't work well for me.
Plus Both @kintsugi and my new account will be on the same instance.
I can also use Twidere to manage both accounts.
@tim
Thanks for the alert.
It should be:

From a strategic view. Defeating Android is extremely easy. You need some money and many in-house developers.
Make a smart phone that has all the top 100 functionalities or apps customers want or use in a phone. Have an innovative design, hardware and software synergy. And reach customers.
Most people use no more than a few dozen apps. If social apps are covered in-house, a great camera and fluid OS and battery life, will convert many people to a new OS.
@cy Very true.
On the app side, I wonder if existing apps cannot be rewritten in new code. Most developers are highly trained in many languages. There is almost nothing to lose but the chance to be part of something transformative. True small markets don't attract developers. But OS like Windows phone or old Blackberry OS were always ugly, uninspiring and lacked functionality. Developers and consumers need to see something remarkable, I suppose, to be drawn to a new OS.
I completely agree.
Elop destroyed Nokia by being stupid.
It was better to push with their own OS and N9 like devices than adopting Windows mobile.
If Nokia had been smart, teamed up with a few others such as Blackberry and Intel and bought WebOS as an alternative, the mobile landscape would have been better.
Why would a phone need 4bg Ram and 4 to 8 CPU cores and still not be able to run a few apps properly. This is the question Google and Android needs to answer and come up with a solution. Instead of removing this anomaly, the workaround has been packing more Ram and cores into Android.
I often wonder if Google is taking Android seriously.
Android may be dominant. But it only takes some genius to come up with a better OS and wipe the floor with it. It always happens.
@Antanicus very true. Apple only gets one thing right and that is its app store and OS is slightly tidier. If Google can show some effort to have better and only the best apps in Play Store. Instead of having 2 million nonsense apps, just have 100k best apps. Polish Android more. Get rid of many bloatware apps. Have some design rules for manufacturers. There will be no space left for iPhone.
I am actually sad that WebOS went down. It was better than Android and iOS in my opinion.
@Antanicus He was quite annoyed when others also visited Xerox Park. His feud with Microsoft and Bill Gates has been primarily on this.
