In light of the Stallman thing, I've been thinking of the phenomenon of witch hunts.
I think in part the hunt is fueled/amplified by people who overcompensate in their vigour in order to signal to the group that they themselves are very much on board and should please not be subjected to a similar hunt in future.
The sad irony is of course that by doing so, they actually increase the chances of further hunts later on.

For example, Facebook did actually analyze "call log data (e.g. duration/frequency/recency of incoming/outgoing calls/texts)" and use it for friend suggestions.

To be honest, I don't know. The configuration options come from the server. Sounds like this is a server feature where you can have a PubSub node associated with a MUC. But I don't know the particulars of this or which XEP it relates to.

Google wants users to use Google search as the access point for all content on the web. They are doing this by:
1. Removing visible URLs in Chrome
2. Penalizing sites for not using Google AMP
3. Removing URLs from search results

No it's not possible and won't be.
It's trivial to run your own webserver, you can do `make serve` inside a checkout of the repo and then open localhost:8080/dev.html (or edit index.html to use local resources).
Or with Python you can run `python -m http.server` to create a local webserver.

Quite happy with my little garden of death. It's over to years old now and the plants look very happy with multiple ones in bloom.

BTW, in July Stallman made this statement:
"Many years ago I posted that I could not see anything wrong about sex between an adult and a child, if the child accepted it.

You quote an email from 2003 and then you pretend as if it's in the context of Epstein/Minsky.
This is deceptive and wrong, but I've come to expect it from people by now.
Just like the blog post that started off this witch hunt flat out lied about what Stallman's stated position was concerning Minsky.

I can't wire money to my bank account in South Africa (from EU) without first going through a bureaucratic process of providing the SA bank all my details and explaining to them why I'm transferring my own money to my own account.
Also, some German banks don't want to wire to SA at all, so I have to carefully choose the sending bank.
Maybe this bitcoin thing has a usecase after all.
