@mconley Nice! Do you have an example of such a theme? Looks like color.firefox.com doesn't support it yet.

@nolan My Mastodon pull requests are the open-source contributions I'm most proud of to this day.

Pinafore got a nice shout-out from Alex Russell (engineer on the Chrome team) for being so fast. Hat tip from one browser perf guy to another! 😁 https://twitter.com/slightlylate/status/1031558458019987456 (birdsite link)

#introduction time for me!
I'm a software developer. I lead a team working on making the Firefox UI faster, smoother and more responsive.
I live in Canada, and feel pretty good about that.
I help mentor students hacking on Review Board, an open source code review tool.
I play electric guitar and sing backup vocals in a pop rock band called The Johnson Report.
I'm a theatre geek, and enjoy occasionally dabbling in sound design.
Point-and-click adventure games rock.

@yatil The snippet you posted doesn't output anything without Polymer - there is no "dom-repeat" in HTML or WebComponents. If it doesn't produce <button>s that is Polymer's fault.

@Gargron Inserting an element in the DOM with role="alert" should do the trick.

@Eramdam If there was one thing I wanted to get rid of back when I was contributing it was ImmutableJS. It's a huge library and last time I checked it doesn't tree-shake.

@hinterwaeldler I think so, as long as someone patches Mastodon (since it currently uses the Webkit-specific selectors).

Some of my old #FirefoxOS devices. From a time when the mobile landscape was much more exciting and people took gambles. A platform, that in its final unshipped version, was beautiful, useful and private.
It is still my favorite system, the one that put the #Web in my pocket, that never leaked or spied on me, that unleashed the power of Add-ons into third-party applications. Infinitely customizable and humane. I miss it a lot.

I love this project: a riverbed in Amsterdam was drained and the ~700,000 found objects dating from the 1300s to present were photographed and presented online:

@zatnosk Not a screen reader but Pocket can read the saved articles (it may be even better for your use case since it only saves the actual content and not the header/navigation/ads/whatever).
