I'm trying really hard not to feed the outrage machine this day.

The holiday shopping is in full swing, and that means that allp the restuarants within walking distance of my apartment are overrun with holiday shoppers.

I know that this is an extremely privileged problem to have. It's still super frustrating to see these places overwhelmed with people to the point that they can't reasonably function, and then to watch those people be rude as hell.

I guess I'm going grocery shopping.

You know how sometimes you'll be looking at something one of a kind on ebay and it'll have the audacity to tell you it's the last one?

It's not the last one, it's the only one. None other will ever exist ebay.

I mean, black people and women are hella rare in the statwars universe to begin with, but the first black woman to appear on screen in the universe is a projection of wookie sexual desires!

@TheOuterLinux The ewok movies are decent, but I wish I could find them in their original aspect ratios.

The Man Who Saved The World is ... challenging, even for me.

It reminds me of Os Trapalhões Na Guerra Dos Planetas and Ömer the Tourist in Star Trek, althought I found both of those easier to watch than The Man Who Saved the World.

@TheOuterLinux I don't know that I've ever been to this specific site, but I've seen some similar ones in the past, maybe even the same site at a different URL.

It appears to be a decent roundup of films available from Archive.org, with art, even.

But they don't make any distinction between Public Domain and Creative Commons stuff, and all their streams and downloads appear to be straight links from IA or youtube.

For a site like this to be useful for me, I'd need better metadata and search.

The Curse of the Faceless man was reasonably enjoyable.

I found the narration a bit heavy handed, but otherwise I thought it was spooky enough, with a couple of scenes that were really menacing, but it was ultimately still a 50s B-Movie.

Now I'm watching something called By Whose Hand, which appears to be a nice locked room mystery on a train?

AHHH people are calling me trying to get black friday deals on records.

I haven't owned a record store for years.

I guess I need to start googling my own phone number and figure out where I failed to remove it from.

@Anke It syncs playback on videos from the internet, including youtube or any files that you have a URL for.

It will also work for local playback, but only if each person involved has a copy of the same file.
